Funhouse Friday!

Good afternoon, from the road! We hope all is well and you are getting ready for the new Walking Dead episode tomorrow! 

Yesterday morning we woke up in sunny Miami! Well, it was Miami, Oklahoma so not so much with the sunny! While we were getting ready we got a text and a voicemail from Pat's mom saying that she read our blog post about Lucky. She and Pat's step-dad, Doug, so generously offered to keep Lucky with them until we buy a house! Of course we didn't want to inconvenience them, but they are just as excited as we are about her! After we talked to them, within the hour they already went out and bought her all sorts of fun things. She is going to be a very spoiled girl and we think she deserves it!

After this amazing news we were on our way to St. Louis to go to the City Museum! Our travels led us to Redmon's Candy Factory and Gift Shop first, which had almost everything you could imagine!

Including, but not limited to, giant cats and bears!

After indulging in some candy and gift shop goodness, we were back at it.

We stopped off at Target to get Lucky a sweater because it was very cold. We went with a cute little candycane number which she has gotten quite a few compliments on already!

We arrived at the St. Louis City Center Hotel around 8:00 last night and settled in. Our little "snooze traveler" was pretty exhausted after her dinner (and running through the hallways of our fancy hotel) so while she slept, we snuck out to paint the town!

When we pulled up to the City Museum there was no way we could have imagined what it would be like. It is absolutely INSANE there! You should definitely go look it up, we'll wait.....

...cool right?! No pictures do it justice though. We looked it up before coming and were completely amazed by it once we got there. It is entirely made up of "city parts" (i.e. Printing press parts, musical instruments, gargoyles, pipes, rollers, concrete, statues, nuts&bolts, trash cans, sheet metal, etc) and has a ten story slide, crazy spinny chairs, and tons of art.

It was sort of difficult to get photos inside the cave areas because it was dark (hopefully GoPro caught it!) but believe us, it was cool! You can climb and crawl in every space you see, it was so much fun.

It was clearly time to feed Pat! So we went down the 10 story slide one more time, made our way to the snack shop, and brought some pizza back to the hotel. Lucky was so good, and was so excited to see us. We got into our jammies and ate pizza in bed! (Not our first time btw)

It was definitely a great day. Weonly spent about two hours at the City Museum but we could have spent days! If you get a chance to go, definitely do!
