From there we headed over to Horseshoe Bend. Once we parked the car and were about to start walking, we saw an adorable little desert chipmunk creature and fed him some goldfish crackers (can not wait to see the video footage of that!). We made our way towards the edge of the earth (not ON the edge like some crazy people thought was a good idea!!!) A guy sitting on top of another section started playing acoustic guitar and I had to ask outloud if this was actually real life. It was a magical movie moment. At the end of the earth with the love of my life, looking at one of the most beautiful landscapes I have ever seen, with a perfect soundtrack. It just doesn't get any better than that.
During our walk back, Pat carved our names, I tried to follow a lizard with the video camera, and two Cowboys asked us if we were taking selfies. Then we took some more chipmunk footage and headed to Sedona to see and eat at the pretty Teal McDonald's! Sedona is beautiful. We had always heard but seeing it first hand is the only way it sinks in.
After a yummy turquoise McDonalds themed dinner we were off to Lake Havasu City for the night. In the morning we are going to see London Bridge (think it made a wrong turn?) then LOS ANGELES!
So excited.
Love y'all!
The Casales
xoxo
